About
Greg Schochet is a Boulder-based performer, teacher, and producer specializing in bluegrass, swing, and country on guitar and mandolin. He spent 16 years as lead guitarist for Halden Wofford & the Hi*Beams and now leads Greg Schochet & Little America, a western swing band. A key figure in Colorado’s roots music scene, he is a sought-after instructor, session player, and producer. He has performed at major venues like Red Rocks, Prairie Home Companion, and New Orleans Jazz Fest and won the 2021 Rockygrass Flatpick Guitar Contest. With 20 years of teaching at Woodsongs Music, Greg focuses on preparing students for ensemble playing and has taught at top music camps across the West.
